NHS Central East Integrated Care Board was formed on 1 April 2026 and is the successor to Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes ICB, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough ICB and the Hertfordshire part of the former Hertfordshire and West Essex ICB.

- Diagnostics – Open and Standing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scans
- Dilatation and curettage for heavy menstrual bleeding
- Dysthyroid eye disease
- Earlobe repair
- Ear nose and throat – Chronic Rhinosinusitis
- Exogen bone healing system- fresh fractures
- Face lift
- Fertility- surrogacy
- Ganglion excision -Hand
- Hirsutism and removal of abnormally placed hair

- Hip Hyaluronic acid Injections
- Hyperhidrosis – Endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy
- Knee arthroscopy for osteoarthritis
- Lymphoedema services in private sector
- Obesity – Referral to Consultant-Led Tier 3 Adult Weight Management Services
- Orthopaedics – Dupuytren’s contracture release
- Removal of adenoids for treatment of glue ear
- Rhinophyma
- Snoring surgery
- Sterilisation Reversal
- Tonsillectomy for recurrent tonsillitis
Localised clinical policies
All other clinical policies that were agreed by the predecessor ICBs will continue to apply to the relevant populations until a new policy is adopted by the NHS Central East ICB. Where a proposed change to a clinical policy could affect people’s access to treatment we will engage with local people and communities beforehand.
